The World Famous Mad House Comedy Club Showcase Special

Joe Carl Abou Sakher
Joe Carl Abou Sakher
Joe Carl Abousakher has been performing stand up comedy since 2010 and he really hates writing these blurbs about himself. Some would say he’s too dashing to be a comic, but his obese childhood would say otherwise.

He grew up in a multi-cultural household (half Palestinian-Arab, half Country Bumpkin-White) in the middle of nowhere (McEwen), Tennessee. He raised sheep and chickens there. He killed a lot of those sheep (for food, not fun), and ate all the unborn babies of those chickens (eggs). Does that sound weird? Screw you, dude. You're weird.

He was a semifinalist on NBC's Stand Up Diversity Showcase in 2016, and he will be competing in the finals of The Funniest Comic In LA show at The IceHouse Comedy Club in February 2017. He loves performing all around Southern California, but he'd love to travel the country to perform for YOU!

(That "YOU" was too much, right?)

He’s married, he has a step-daughter, and he’s only 29 years old (as of Jan, 2017). Also, he's a big Tennessee Titans fan. So - YEAH - he can be on edge sometimes, but he still loves you.

(There were way too many parenthesis in this bio.)

(Wait, you're supposed to put the puncuation on the outside of the parenthesis, aren't you)?

(Well that doesn't look right at all!)!
Jesse Egan - San Diego's Funniest Person Winner - Host of Tonight in San Diego!
Jesse Egan - San Diego's Funniest Person Winner - Host of Tonight in San Diego!
Jesse Egan started doing stand-up comedy after a summer road trip took him from his hometown of Arlington, Virginia to the west coast. He was named part of the Best of San Diego at The Comedy Store in La Jolla California and in 2014 Jesse won first place in the San Diego’s Funniest Person Contest.
Jesse is the current host of Tonight in San Diego, San Diego’s very own late night variety talk show. TISD tapes live on Mondays 7:30pm at The Geoffrey Theatre at Spreckles, at 923 1st ave in downtown San Diego, and airs Saturdays at 11pm on CW6 San Diego TV and locally Thursdays at 10pm on KSDY channel 50. You can see Jesse’s nationally televised spots on KPBS TV and he’s also appeared on Union Tribune TV, Fox Rox TV, and in the documentary film Stage Time.
Jesse performs stand-up comedy all over the country and has opened for Dane Cook, Doug Stanhope, Chris D’Elia, Brian Posehn and toured with Nick at Nite’s America’s Funniest Mom, Vicki Barbolak. Jesse co-hosts two podcasts, Comics Talk Comedy, with comedian Jeff Bilodeau, and Sordid Tales, with San Diego columnist Edwin Decker.
Jesse’s comedic influences range from Dave Chappelle, Rodney Dangerfield, Richard Pryor, Dean Martin, Peter Sellers and Charlie Chaplin. Catch Jesse performing at clubs and colleges in your area or on Tonightinsandiego.com!

Numerous late night appearances including "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where he was booked by Jimmy himself who said "because of how few slots we have available you have to be an A++ comedian to get booked on my show, and Andrew is." Other TV appearances include Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham," and the nationally syndicated comedy round-table "Comics Unleashed," where he also worked as a monologue joke writer. Andrew's natural charisma and sharp material have charmed audiences at comedy festivals around the world. He won the first annual Las Vegas World Series of Comedy, which only takes place in the US, so the use of the phrase "World Series" is a bit murky. But if it's good enough for baseball, it's good enough for him. He also took second place at the Boston Comedy Festival, and his performance at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal was praised in Time Out New York. He's delighted audiences at Sydney's Comedy Store and Laugh Garage where The (Australia) Daily Telegraph remarked "his show features hair trigger laughs with a deadly aim, all the more so because while some comedians overestimate their own intelligence, Norelli never underestimates ours." Versatility has allowed him to perform in corporate settings too, for companies such as Google and Yahoo.

Gary Petersen - Winner - Best Comedian in Boston!
Whether its performing stand-up comedy, or screaming at children in malls, Gary Petersen draws in crowds of all types. Named the Best Comedian in Boston by Boston Magazine, Petersen continues to deliver smart, not dumb, wisdom. Grounded in samurai code, punk rock morals (like eating cereal in leather coats) and jazz dance rhythms, the vicious ridiculousness of his own life is dissected in an ungross way.
