Brian Apprille
Brian Apprille
A professional stand-up comedian since 1997, Brian Apprille has performed all over the country making people laugh at casinos, clubs, colleges, churches, conventions, and other events.

Critics call him "brilliantly entertaining" and "coast-to-coast funny" as he talks about his personal struggles with weight and a potentially career-ending illness, along with observations about the quirks of society and life. He blends them with a selection from his arsenal of over 100 impressions, resulting in a performance that has been called "a spectacular exhibition of high-energy comedy" that both entertains and inspires!

Brian has been featured on AOL's Comedy Spotlight, SprintTV, has appeared on NBC, as well as in Disney's hit movie The Game Plan.
Matin Atrushi
Matin Atrushi
Matin Atrushi’s parents were political refugees from Northern Iraq, forced out by Saddam Hussein’s troops. Matin’s fascination with comedy began at an early age as the family would gather around and watch John Ritter on “Three’s Company” although the young boy’s parents barely spoke English. “Jack Tripper’s comedy was universal. My parents would laugh at his physical humor and antics,” said Matin.

Matin first tried stand-up comedy at the age of 24 in a small coffee shop in Los Angeles and has been at it ever since. He has shared the stage with comedy legends such as Robin Williams and Chris Rock. He is a comedian with a unique perspective into the everyday life of being Middle Eastern in America today.

“I’m trying to show another side of Middle Eastern people. We’re the same. We like to laugh,” said Matin. “If you ask me why I’m doing this, I really enjoy making people laugh.”

Maria grew up in a shack on a lake, on the outskirts of Perth, Western Australia. Her Dutch immigrants parents thought she was adorable, but her older brother and sister, knew better. Both more than 10 years her senior, they suffered the indignity of minding little miss bossy boots as their parents drove taxi (as immigrants do). She'd yell "Quick! Someone! Bring me a Potty!" She was lucky to have grown up at all! At age 9, Maria traveled with her parents from Australia to Europe thru Asia. It took 9 months. Her perspective about race, religion and culture were forever broadened. Then her parents separated, and before returning to Australia, she spent 3 years in London with her mother, going to public school and cleaning bathrooms to help make ends meet. All that yelling for a 'potty' came back to bite her.

Maria’s keen observations and friendly Aussie style make her a favorite with audiences and give her global comedic appeal. Pt Loma Life Magazine’s 5 page cover article called her animated style ‘fun to watch and simply hilarious’. TV appearances include KUSI’s Good Morning San Diego, UTTV’s Comic Strip and The Dr Phil Show. International performances include the Edinburgh and Amsterdam Fringe Festivals, and the Mumbai Laugh Factory. Stateside, Maria performs all over the country in festivals, colleges, clubs and casinos and produces San Diego's 5 Star rated 'Comedy Heights' show every Saturday Night. Maria is also an award winning journalist, and voice over specialist. With 20 years of MC experience and 10 years in full time morning radio, she’s professional and on the spot funny, every time.

For the past 15 years I’ve performed in comedy clubs and for corporate clients across the country. I’ve appeared in all types of venues from smoke-filled bars and comedy clubs to theaters and ballrooms. The audiences have varied greatly and have included everyone from business bigwigs (and some small wigs) to The San Francisco International Comedy Competition.

I’m also host of the long-running comedy show, “West Coast Funnies.”

Besides performing, I also write for the award winning comic strip, “Dustin,” which is syndicated in over 300 newspapers nationwide.
